We are an organic certified company in accordance with the EU Organic Council Regulation No. 834/2007 (in the past 2092/91/EEC) and are under permanent control by the officially recognized organic inspection body ECOCERT (DE-024-Organic inspection body). The German National Eco Label (Bio-Siegel) is the federal uniform sign for products from organic farming. It symbolizes the controlled production of organic products. Legal basis for the eco label is the German Organic Labeling Law (Öko-Kennzeichengesetz). In view of the criteria for the use of the eco label the Organic Labeling Law refers to the requirements of the EU Organic Council Regulation. All agriculture products going to be marked with the eco label must be produced according to this regulation.
ECOCERT is a control and certification organization, whose activities are governed accordingly by the public authorities and legislation. It conducts inspections in over 80 countries. ECOCERT Deutschland GmbH (DE-024-Organic inspection body) and ECOCERT SA monitor our entire value chain in organic agriculture from the raw material production to the production process, the transport, the processing, the storage and finally the marketing. ECOCERT makes sure that all of our organic products are produced according to the EU Organic Council Regulation.

The uniform European Union Community logo distinguishes products from controlled organic farming. It is compulsory for pre-packed food to be labeled with the EU eco label for organic production. Nevertheless, the obligation to print the EU logo as well as the proof of origin onto those products was delayed by the regulation (EC) No. 967/2008 from September 29, 2008 to July 1st, 2010.
All our products marked with this guarantee seal are certified according to the criteria of the British Vegan Society. As the first society of its kind the Vegan Society was founded in Great Britain on November 1st, 1944 by Donald Watson. Veganism is a philosophy and life-style trying - as far as practicable – to avoid all forms of exploitation of and cruelty to animals capable of suffering. For our Argan oil this seal means among others that the use of Argan almonds excreted or spit out by goats is completely out of the question.
Our Argan edible oil is controlled and officially authorized according to the Novel Food Regulation and may be marketed by our company throughout all countries of the European Community.
In order to protect public health all new types of food and food ingredients - briefly called Novel Food - have to pass a uniform safety check before they may be sold in the European community. Argan edible oil is such a so-called Novel Food and therefore subject to authorization. The application for authorization has to be filed at a responsible national authority. In Germany the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and
Food safety (BVL) is the authority in charge regarding this matter. After the authorization has been granted, it is obligatory for the applicant to inform the DG Health and Consumer Protection of the European Commission in Brussels about placing the Argan oil on the market.
We own the guarantee seal "kbA Qualität" (“controlled organic farming quality”).
All our products and raw materials marked with this guarantee seal, as for example our cosmetics, come from controlled organic farming. But due to their objective characteristics, those products do not however apply to the EU Organic Council Regulation 834/2007 (former EU Organic Council Regulation No. 2092/91). Hence, they neither carry an eco label nor any other hint towards the EU Organic Council Regulation.

Agriculture Biologique (english: organic farming), abbreviated AB, is the official seal of the French Ministry of Agriculture awarded to products from biological cultivation in France. Its German counterpart is the BIO-seal. All agriculture products going to be marked with the eco label must be produced according to the EU Organic Council Regulation. Deutsches Pendant ist das Bio-Siegel.

'Naturland – Verband für ökologischen Landbau e.V. is one of the biggest organic cultivation associations and was founded in 1982. Its headquarters are situated in Gräfelfing near Munich. All products marked with this seal are certified according to the guidelines of the organic cultivation association Naturland. These guidelines apply to the production as well as to the processing. Naturland-farmers and manufacturers work according to highest organic standards which are in their form stricter than the legal demands of the EU Organic Council Regulations. Organic agriculture following Naturland’s guidelines is based on a comprehensive, system-oriented approach. Moreover, these guidelines cover domains which are actually not governed by the EU Organic Council Regulations, as for example the social guidelines which enshrine the social responsibility of all Naturland-members in their standards.
The Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety of Lower Saxony (LAVES) has given us the confirmation that we may introduce Argan oil in Germany.
LAVES was established by the government of Lower Saxony in order to enable early detection of health risks for consumers and efficiently fight those risks. Therefore, reliable control systems, clear quality assurance systems, safety methods as well as independent and objective information belong to the most important instruments of this board. In LAVES the six formerly federal investigation offices for food and utility items and 3 institutes are integrated, as well as nationwide operating professional departments entrusted with duties of technical and operative consultation.
Our approach to packaging is to completely abandon plastics with plasticizers, like Soft-PVC, and make way for other products made of, for example, PP (Polypropylene) or PE (Polyethylene). For instance our canisters are produced in Germany from PE in a high-pressure procedure (HD-PE) and are food-save.
Traceability is differentiated in:
– Downstream Tracing (downward- directed retracing from producer to consumer) and
- Upstream Tracing (upward-directed retracing from consumer to producer).
Our concise lot number system provides highest transparency and safety. Every delivery of raw material immediately receives a lot number (batch number) from us or our manufacturers. The lot number accompanies the raw material through all production phases up to the bottling of the final product. The number is printed on the label according to the German Lot Marking Regulation, in order to be able to retrace the origin of the end product during all phases of production upward-directed (i.e. from consumer directly to the farmer) and downward-directed (i.e. from the farmer directly to the consumer).
